Waltham 19j Vanguard pocket watch. 14K gold filled case

A handsome pocket watch made by Waltham Watch Co. in1902.
 
The model 1899 nickel plate movement is one of Waltham's finest creations with a well deserved reputation for rugged reliability and timekeeping accuracy. This is a higher grade (Quality) Vanguard with 19 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement, double roller, gold timing screws, and a micro-regulator. The movement has a beautiful finish with a demaskeened pattern that has been polished into the plates, gold jewel settings and gilt inlaid script.
The watch is running strong in all positions and keeps excellent time over 24 hours (+ a few seconds per day). It is crown wind and crown set (just click out the crown to time set position).
 
The 14K 25 year gold filled case is of the top quality available at the time and would have been expensive. It has hinged covers front and rear and a hinged internal dust cover to protect the movement. It's in lovely condition with no dents or dings and just the very lightest surface scratching to the rear cover. All of the hinges are good and all covers open and snap closed as they should. Lovely case.
Single sunk white enamel dial is in good order as are the hands and the acrylic crystal. Please see the photos.
 
Overall a really nice, high quality pocket watch in super condition and working as it should.
