Waltham 15 jewel grade 620 pocket watch
A nice example of this gentleman's pocket watch made by Waltham Watch Co. in 1919.
The movement is a model 1908 bridge plate type which is itself a development of the earlier model 1899. These movements were produced in their hundreds of thousands and quickly developed a reputation for rugged reliability and timekeeping accuracy, witness the numbers still giving reliable service today over 100 years later.
This watch is a grade 620 with 15 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement and features a "Church 1892" micro-regulator. It is stem wind and stem set and both functions work smoothly whilst the watch runs strong in all positions for the full length of the wind, and it is keeping really good time.
The gold filled case by Dennison has a snap on bezel with a hinged rear cover and hinged internal dust cover. The hinges are good and all the covers operate as they should. The case is in excellent condition with no visible dents or dings and the gold appears intact throughout.
Original single sunk white enamel dial in excellent condition as are the hands and the mineral glass crystal.
Overall a very nice example of this pocket watch that could be used daily.
