Stunning Hamilton 992B Stainless steel case. Superb!

A beautiful stainless steel cased railroad watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1957, all in fine original condition. 
The Hamilton 992B is probably the defining railroad watch and is acknowledged as being one of the very best pocket watches ever produced. It remained in continuous, unaltered production from 1941 until 1969 when the factory closed and production switched to Switzerland. It features all of the latest innovations yet retained all of the craftsmanship and quality of finish that American watches were renowned for.  The 992B movement has 21 jewels and features a fully capped swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallet stones, gold timing screws, sprung micro-regulator, and the newly developed "Elinvar" temperature and magnetism resistant white metal hairspring with associated mono-metal solid balance wheel. The movement is beautifully finished with a damascened patterning and gold jewel settings. 
This particular movement is in stunning unmarked condition, and is running strong in all positions whilst keeping super accurate time.  The watch is crown wind and lever set (Withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time) both functions working smoothly. The 992B has a long mainspring to give a run time in excess of 40 hours so they need a lot of turns to wind them up.
 
The original stainless steel case is fully signed within the rear cover, and is in "as new" condition. I can find no flaws, please check the photos to gauge the condition.  It has screw on / off covers with both doing so easily and both closing down square and tight. A fine case!
Double sunk white enamel dial in equally good condition, no chips, cracks or hairlines that I can see. A very good set of black enamelled hands under a very good acrylic crystal.
 
Overall a highly collectible Railroader in super fine condition, running reliably and keeping spot on time, excellent!
