Stirling Silver Waltham 7j "Traveler"

Stirling Silver Waltham 7j "Traveler"

A 16 size gentleman's pocket watch made by Waltham Watch Co. in 1913, imported as a movement back  in the day and housed in a Dennison Stirling Silver case, and all fully hallmarked.

The brass plate movement is a model 1908 "Traveler" grade with 7 jewels, and a Swiss lever escapement.

The watch is running strong in all positions for the full length of the wind and over 24 hours it gains somewhat less than 1 minute.

The English made silver case is in nice condition. It has a snap on bezel with a hinged rear cover and hinged internal dust cover. The case shows the expected age related smoothing but has no dents, with just a couple of tiny dings to the edge of the rear cover. The hinges are good and the covers operate as they should, and all close square and tight all around.

Single sunk white enamel dial is in excellent condition, I can find no flaws.

A set of blued steel fine spade hands in good order but I can't swear that the hour and minute hands are an original matched pair.

All under a fine mineral glass crystal.
