Silver case 18s Waltham open face pocketwatch

Base model 18 size pocket watch made by Waltham Watch Co. in 1883.
The movement is a brass full plate model 1877 with 7 jewels, a right angle English lever escapement with jewelled pivots. There's not really a lot to say about this as it is a simple but effective base model watch. This one runs well and keeps fairly good time within a coupl of minutes per day. It is key wind and key set (key supplied).
English made fully hall marked sterling silver case with hinged covers and a hinged internal dust cover. The case shows age related wear but is in good condition. All of the hinges are good and all the covers open/close as they should.
Original single sunk white enamel dial is in super condition, with a very good set of blued steel hands under a good acrylic crystal.
Overall a very good example of this early pocket watch in full working order.
