Nice 17 jewel Hamilton 972.

A fine 16 size, 17 jewel pocket watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1913.
The nickel plate grade 972 movement has 17 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement, Sapphire pallet stones, and a "Reed" sprung micro-regulator. Nicely finished with a lovely damascened pattern and gold jewel settings. The watch runs strong for the full length of the wind and is keeping good time.
The gold filled case is in fair condition as there are no dents or dings, and I can find no wear through of the gold it being bright and lustrous throughout.  The inside of the rear cover has however worn the gold through to brass. The pendant, crown, and bow also in good order. The case has hinged covers front and rear with a hinged internal dust cover. All of the hinges are good and all of the covers operate freely.
Double sunk white enamel dial is in good shape, I can find no flaws. A very good set of spade style hands under a very good acrylic crystal.
Overall a very nice example, and very useable.
