Lovely Hamilton 992B railroad watch

Lovely Hamilton 992B railroad watch

Probably the definitive American railroad watch, the Hamilton 992B combined the latest railroad requirements into what was possibly the most accurate pocket watch produced by an American maker. The last watch produced by the American factory was a 992B in 1969. This particular watch was made in 1952.

The 21 jewel movement features a fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallets, the latest "Elinvar" white metal hairspring with mono-metal balance wheel, gold timing screws and a micro-regulator. This particular watch is running strong in all positions and keeping time to within a few seconds per day.

To comply with railroad regs. the watch is stem wind and lever set.

Yellow gold filled 3 piece case is in fine condition with no dents, dings or abrasion, and the gold being bright all over. LOvely white enamelled dial in as new condition as are the black enamelled  hands under a very good glass crystal.

Overall a super watch in very fine condition working as it should.
