Handsome Silver Waltham hunter 21j Crescent Street.

Silver cased Antique full hunter pocket watch made by Waltham Watch Co. in1902.
The full plate movement is a model 1892 21jewel "Crescent Street". The 1892 was the best and last 18 size full plate movement made by Waltham and is of very high quality. This one has 21 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement with Sapphire pallet stones, double roller, gold timing screws and a Church 1892 micro-regulator. Beautifully finished with gold jewel settings, a lovely damaskened pattern and black enamelled script. This watch has just been serviced and also has a new mainspring. It's running well and keeps good time to within a few seconds per day. The watch is stem wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 5 and rotate the crown to set the time).
The full hunter case is made from solid coin silver 80% pure. It has hinged front / rear covers with a hinged internal dust cover. The case is in very good condition although the engraved details have worn down. All of the hinges are good and all covers operate as they should. The only flaw is the slot in the bezel that accommodates the lever is too deep, so it's possible to push the lever in too far such that it can be difficult to extract unless care is taken.
I can find no flaws with the double sunk white enamel dial. Blued steel hands also in fine condition as is the acrylic crystal.
Overall a really handsome watch in lovely condition that is working well.
