Hamilton 992B railroad watch in stunning condition

A beautiful 16 size railroad grade watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1946.
 
The Hamilton 992B is considered by many to be the finest railroad watch made by any of the American Watch making companies. It features all of the very latest innovations and improvements along with the traditional quality and refinement expected of American made watches. Famed for it's accuracy and reliability the 992B is the benchmark against which others are judged.
 
The nickel bridge plate movement has 21 jewels, a fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallet stones, gold timing screws, "Elinvar" white metal temperature and magnetism resistant hairspring and solid mono-metal balance wheel. The movement is finished with a handsome damascened pattern and gold jewel settings.
This particular movement is in fine fettle giving strong amplitude in all positions, running reliably for over 40 hours on a wind, and keeping time to within +5 secs per 24Hrs. Please see the photos to determine the cosmetic condition of the movement.
The watch is crown wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time) both functions working smoothly.
 
Housed in it's original fully signed 10K gold filled case which is in lovely condition. There are no dents or dings and the gold is intact throughout with no wear through evident anywhere. The pendant, crown and bow also in lovely order. It's a very nice case with screw on / off covers front and rear with both doing so easily, and both closing down square and tight.
Flawless white enamel dial with black enamelled heavy spade style hands under a very good acrylic crystal.
 
Overall a highly collectable pocket watch in super fine condition that is running as it should.
