Hamilton 950B 23 jewel Railroader
Beautifull 16 size Hamilton 950B railroad watch.
This is a model 6 version of this highly collectable pocket watch that was manufactured in 1951.
This features 23 jewels with gold settings and a fully capped escapement, including a fully jewelled motor spring barrel and a micro regulator. This is about as good as American watch making got, and this results in impeccable reliability and astonishing time keeping accuracy. This particular watch runs beautifully and keeps time to within a few seconds per day. The watch is pendant wound and lever set.
The movement is housed in a yellow gold filled case that is original to the watch and is stamped inside the rear cover "Hamilton Watch Co." The case is in exceptionally good condition with no evident dents, dings or wear through to brass. All of the gold is bright and lustrous.
The original melamine dial is in fair condition. All of the printing is crisp and clear but there are a couple of hairlines visible. Good black steel heavy rairoad hands, and a good mineral glass crystal.
Overall, a highly collectable and sought after railroader in super condition that could be used daily!
