Fine Hamilton 992B railroad watch. Runs great!

A lovely 16 size Railroad grade watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1963.
 
The Hamilton 992B is probably the defining railroad watch and is acknowledged as being one of the very best pocket watches ever produced. It remained in continuous, unaltered production from 1941 until 1969 when the factory closed and production switched to Switzerland. It features all of the latest innovations yet retained all of the craftsmanship and quality of finish that American watches were renowned for.
The 992B movement has 21 jewels and features a fully capped swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallet stones, gold timing screws, sprung micro-regulator, and the newly developed "Elinvar" temperature and magnetism resistant white metal hairspring with associated mono-metal solid balance wheel. The movement is beautifully finished with a damascened patterning and gold jewel settings.
This particular movement is in fine fettle as it runs strong in all positions, reliably for the full length of the wind, and is keeping time within a few seconds per day. It is crown wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time), both functions are working smoothly . 
 
The watch has it's original 3 piece gold filled "Bar over Crown" case which is fully signed within the rear cover. The case is in lovely condition with no dents or dings and the gold intact throughout with no evident wear through. The pendant, crown and bow in equally good order. Both covers screw on / off easily and both close down square and tight.
White enamelled dial signed "Hamilton Railway Special" appears flawless to me, please check the photos. Good black enamelled hands and a good acrylic crystal.
 
Overall a super railroader in just about "As New"  condition and working as intended. A lovely example of this highly collectable railroader. Don't miss this one!
