Elgin B W Raymond railroad watch 21j. Grade 590

This is a late model Elgin B W Raymond railroad watch with the "Invar" hairspring.
The nickel model 15 grade 590 movement was made in 1944 and has 21 jewels, a fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallets, "Invar" temperature and magnetism resistant hairspring with solid mono metal balance wheel and gold timing screws and a micro-regulator. The watch runs well for the full length of the wind and keeps excellent time.
The watch is stem wind and lever set.
Beautiful gold filled 3 piece case in lovely condition with no dents, dings or heavy abrasion, just some light scuff marks on the rear cover betray age and use. Screw on / off front and rear covers work as they should. A nice case.
The dial is in as new condition and the hands have just some very light corrosion stains that are invisible to the naked eye. Good acrylic crystal.
Overall a super watch in lovely condition working as intended.
