23 jewel Hamilton 950 railroad watch

Stunning top grade Hamilton 950 railroad watch made by Hamilton Watch Co. in 1925.
The grade 950 was the top of the range for Hamilton in 1925. To full railroad specification this model 3 bridge plate movement has 23 jewels, a Fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallet stones, gold timing screws and a sprung micro-regulator. The movement also features Gold (alloy) train wheels with a steel escape wheel, and a patent motor barrel with jewelled arbor. Beautifully finished with a lovely damascened patterning and gold jewel settings it didn't get better than this.
The watch is crown wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time). It runs strong in all positions and keeps time to within a couple of seconds per day. 
The movement is housed in an original Hamilton signed 10K gold filled 3 piece case that has screw on / off covers. The case is in lovely condition with no dents or dings and with no apparent wear through of the gold. Both covers remove and replace easily and both close down square and tight, although the last couple of turns on the front cover are particularly tight.
Single sunk white enamel dial is in lovely condition with just a tiny chip on the edge of the sub seconds dial by the 5 and a very faint small hairline through the seven. Both of these minor flaws are very hard to see with the naked eye.
Time indicated by a very good set of heavy spade style hands which are slightly mis matched in that the minute hand is blued and the hour hand is enamelled black, again though it's hard to see with the naked eye.
The crystal is a good acrylic jobbie.
Overall a super collectible watch in beautiful condition, and working well.
