18s Hampden 7 jewel "Champion" running well

A nice "every man's" workaday pocket watch made by Hampden Watch Co. in 1908

The full plate nickel movement is an 18 size 7 jewel model 3 that the company named "Champion".

It runs very well in all positions and is keeping remarkably good time. The watch is stem wind and stem set (pull on the crown to click into time set position, depress the crown to return to run/wind position).

The movement is housed in a heavy nickel alloy (Trade marked Silverine but I doubt there is any Silver in the case material) hinged case. The front and rear covers are hinged to the case and snap closed, there is also an internal hinged dust cover. All of the hinges are good and all the covers operate as they should. The case is in overall very good condition and whilst the engraved "Trolly Car" has worn smooth it is still clear and distinct.

Single sunk white enamel dial in excellent condition as are the blued steel spade hands and all under a very good mineral glass crystal.

Overall a super antique watch in lovely condition and typical for the period.
