16s Illinois "Burlington Special" 19 jewels.

Nice Illinois private label 19 jewel "Burlington Special" pocket watch made in 1912.
 
The Illinois Watch Co. were renowned for their private label pocket watches with the "Burlington Special" label being the most common. This one is model 5, grade 185 movement with 19 jewels, a Swiss lever escapement with micro-regulator. Avery nice high quality movement that has recently been fully serviced and has a new mainspring. The watch is running well and keeps very good time. It is stem wind and lever set although it is not a full railroad specification as it has only a single roller.
 
Very nice 25 year gold filled case that has a lovely embossed design to the rear cover. The 3 piece case has screw on/off front and rear covers with both doing so easily. The case is in lovely overall condition with no dents or dings and with the gold intact thoughout.
 
Nice original double sunk dial has a small chip by the 7 and the figure 7 paint is faded, otherwise the dial is in good order. Nice set of "Moon" style hands under a very good mineral crystal.
 
Overall a very nice watch that could be used daily.
