16s Illinois Bunn Special 21 jewel railroad watch

16 size railroad grade watch made by Illinois watch Co. in 1919.
The nickel bridge plate movement is a very high quality model 9 "Bunn Special" with 21 jewels, a fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallets, Gold timing screws and a "Reed" micro-regulator. This watch was originally adjusted in 6 different positions to ensure timekeeping regularity. The movement is finished with a lovely damaskeened polished finish and gold jewel settings.
The watch is stem wind and lever set (withdraw the small lever by the 1 and rotate the crown to set the time) both functions work smoothly. The watch is running strong in all positions and is keeping really good time.
The 3 piece rolled gold case is in fair condition as whilst it has no dents or dings there are visible patches of wear through on the rear cover, which also has initials engraved on the outside and a name engraved on the inside, please see the photos. Other than that the case is in really nice condition with both screw on/off covers doing so easily and both closing down square and tight.
Original double sunk white enamel dial is in nice condition as are the spade style hands and the acrylic crystal.
Overall a high quality railroad watch in nice order and working well.
