16s Elgin 21j B W Raymond railroad watch

Super 16 size railroad watch made by Elgin Watch Co in 1941.
Very high quality nickel plate movement with 21 jewels, fully capped Swiss lever escapement with double roller, Sapphire pallets, "Invar" white metal hairspring with solid balance wheel, gold timing screws and a sprung micro-regulator. This is full railroad specification for the period and the watch is stem wind and lever set.
The watch runs strong in all positions and is keeping good time.
Original gold filled case fully signed by Elgin within the rear cover. This is a 3 piece case with screw on/off front and rear covers, both do so easily. The case is in very nice condition but with a very (very) thin band of wear through on the bezel right at the edge of the glass. Strange, I haven't seen wear through in this position before, but nevertheless there it is. Otherwise the case is in excellent condition with no dents, dings or abrasion.
Correct "Invar" signed dial (the little star beneath Elgin) in almost new condition, I can't find any flaws. A very good complete set of heavy spade style railroad hands, and a good acrylic crystal.
Overall a fine watch in lovely condition working as it should.
