12 size South Bend dress watch. 19 jewels. Serviced. Original box

This is a very smart Gentleman's dress watch made by South Bend Watch Co. in 1923.
The very high quality nickel plate movement has 19jewels, a Swiss lever escapement with double roller, gold timing screws, and a sprung micro-regulator. Adjusted in 4 posions for time keeping regularity this is a model 1, grade 429 movement. It has just been fully serviced and a new mainspring has been installed. It runs strong and is keeping excellent time. The watch is stem wind and stem set.
The original 14K gold filled case is in lovely condition. It has a snap on front cover with a hinged rear cover, the hinge is good and works as it should. The case is in overall fine condition with no dents, dings, abrasion or wear through.
The dial is a silvered metal affair with gold applique numerals. For it's type it is in excellent condition and is actually brighter than the photos show. There is an obvious small black mark near the centre that I think is actually a scratch as no amount of cleaning gets it off.
The time is indicated by a very nice set of gilded hands that are in very good order, and the watch has a replacement acrylic crystal.
Overall a fine example of this elegant watch, fairly hard to find in this condition and all working as it should.
